I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Saitama Prefecture for 4 years, and since then I've gained experience in various educational settings, including nurseries, elementary schools, and other international preschools.

Hello.  I am Akiko, I will be the FA AID in ABC International Preschool.  After I graduated college, I worked as a kindergarten teacher through South East Asia for a few years.  This helps me recognise English is an important communication tool all over the world. “Japanese people cannot speak English well” is a phrase I have heard. I dream that Japanese youth will be able to communicate with people around the world with confidence.

Hello everyone, my name is Sam. I am from Manchester in England. My favourite English foods are pork pies and pasties. I've worked as an English teacher since 2018. I taught English in China, Korea, Kagoshima, and now Saitama. I like living in Japan. My favorite Japanese food is Chikuwa. I like to visit the cherry blossom trees for hanami. Hello!! My name is Matt and I am thrilled to be the P2 teacher this year. I moved to Japan with my wife, who is Japanese, to be closer to her family and explore life in this beautiful country. Before coming to Japan, I spent 10 years teaching at a private school in the United States. I grew up on a farm in rural Pleasant Hill, Oregon, which gave me a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. In my free time, I love woodworking and fishing. I am so excited to get to know my students! I look forward to a fun, energetic, and productive year of learning together.

こんにちは、P2のジャスミンです。

私は日本の幼稚園保育園と、オレゴン州ポートランド市立の日本語イマージョン教育を行っているプリKクラスのインターンとして、その後は私立のプリスクールで働いていました。ポートランドに6年半住み、地元のカレッジを卒業しました。絵画、デッサン、水彩画、陶芸、ボールルームダンスを学ぶことが私の喜びでした。アートが大好きです！在米中、ある家族のベビーシッターをさせて頂きながら、その家族と5年間一緒に生活を送りました。今でも忘れられない思い出です。

また現地ではサルサダンスをし、シアトル、ポートランド、ロサンゼルスでパフォーマンスもしていました。日本ではラテンアメリカンの現役競技選手として大会に励んでおります。

幼児教育を通して掛け替えのない人達に出逢えたことに感謝しています。これからもABCIPで可愛い小さなお友達に出逢えることを心待ちにしています。

Hello, I'm Jasmine, the P2 class teacher.

I have worked at kindergartens and preschools in Japan, a pre-K class at a Portland public school with a Japanese immersion program as an intern and a private preschool in Portland Oregon.

I lived in Portland for 6 and half years. I graduated from a college with an associate degree there. It was my pleasure to learn painting, drawing, watercolor, ceramics, and ballroom dance. I love art! During the time, I was staying with a family for 5 years and was babysitting for the family. I will never forget that amazing experience!

I used to dance salsa for performances in Seattle, Portland, and LA. I'm practicing Latin American dancing for competitions in Japan.

I appreciate that I have met wonderful friends and families through my experiences in early childhood education. I'm so excited to meet little friends at ABC IP!

Hello, I am Hiroko, a P3 Japanese teacher.

I am always trying to find the best support for individual child, and hoping their English will be improved with lots of fun .  I had lived in NY for 2 years and in London for 1 year.

I learned English, Art, etc, there, and made lots of friends from many different countries, which was a great experience in my life. I am hoping our children will have lots of wonderful experience through English as well.

I got Japanese childcare qualifications in 2017.

I love listening to my daughter playing piano.
